Top Generals: US aggression against Syria to boost morale of terrorists

Major General Mohammad Baqeri and Syrian Chief of the General Staff of armed forces Lieutenant General Ali Ayyoub discussed US missile attack against Syrian Air Base al-Shayrat over phone.

General Baqeri strongly condemned the US attack against al-Shayrat and called it an aggression against an independent state and contrary to international law.

He said that the horrible chemical incident of Khan Sheikhoun was a suspicious and conspiracy against Syrian government and nation and added that Iran, Russia like Syria believe in necessity to establish a fact-finding neutral group to find out the truth.

The Iranian top general said that US missile attack against Syria is part of the White House and its ally’s efforts to develop aggressive acts and reviving terrorists.

Lieutenant General Ali Ayyoub appreciated Iranian government, nation and armed forces stances and supports for Syria in fight against terrorists and their supporters and added that Iranian stances in this concern are logical, informed and caused by deep understanding and as matter of fact is our most important reliance against all these threats.

He said that relations between the two countries are historical and in recent decades these two countries have been able to neutralized seditions and threats in resistance axis.

General Ayyoub stressed that US attack against al-Shayrat did not weakened morale of Syrian fighters and pilots, but boost their motive and morale to demolish terrorists.

At the end of conversation, the two top generals underlined continuation of cooperation against terrorists and their ally and said that terrorists are on the verge of collapse and this aggression was to boost their morale, which is useless.
