Terrorist attack kills over 20 in Pakistan’s Shia majority city

Reports quoting official sources say the blast which occurred at the vegetable market was caused by an improvised explosive device.

In a text message sent to journalists, the terrorist group 'Lashkar-i-Jhangvi al-Alami' claimed the responsibility for the deadly attack.

Lashkar-i-Jhangvi is an anti-Shia group which also has some links with Daesh.

Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif have expressed their deep grief over the incident and directed for urgent medical assistance to the injured.
