Tehran’s Assyrians to participate in election more enthusiastically than ever

The statement said, according to holy book of Bible and a recommendation by church leaders to observe the country's law and love for motherland, Iranian Assyrians since victory of the Islamic Revolution under the leadership of late Imam Khomeini and his successor Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei have spared no effort in line with the country's progress and honor.

The statement was sealed by archbishop of Assyrian, Chaldean, Catholic Church of Tehran, patriarch of East Assyrian Church of Iran and priest of Biblical Assyrian Church in Tehran.

The 12th Presidential Election and the 5th round of election for City and Village Councils is to be held on Friday May 19, 2017, simultaneously.
