Tehran formally complains against 'Iran International'

Announcing the above, Iranian Ambassador in London Hamid Baeidinejad said in his twitter account that Iran has also called on the London government to identify members of this terrorist group, ban their activities and deport them from Britain.

The Office of Communications, commonly known as Ofcom, is the UK government-approved regulatory and competition authority for the broadcasting, telecommunications and postal industries of the United Kingdom. Ofcom has wide-ranging powers across the television, radio, telecoms and postal sectors.

'Iran International has shamefully broadcast an interview with the terrorist group behind Saturday's attack in Ahvaz. We condemn this heinous act and will pursue formally with Ofcome to investigate it as an act in supporting terrorism ad violence,' Baeidinejad said in his earlier tweet on September 22.
In an interview with the Islamic Republic News Agency in London, Baeidinejad said he was optimistic that the legal action taken against the TV network would bear fruits.

However, the Iranian envoy said legal and political proceedings will not end with a single step or a single result but they should continue.

The British Foreign Office spokesperson has already said taking a legal action against Iran International TV network through Ofcome was the best choice for Tehran.

At least 25 people were killed and more than 60 others injured during Saturday morning terror attack in Ahvaz, capital of Khuzestan Province, in southwestern Iran.

“The terrorists disguised as the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) and Basiji (volunteer) forces opened fire at the authorities and people from behind the stand during the parade,' Governor of Khuzestan Gholam-Reza Shariati said earlier.

The self-proclaimed Saudi-affiliated Al-Ahwaz terrorist group claimed the responsibility for the attack.
