In a meeting with Iran's Consul General Alibeman Eghbali Zarch, he underlined the need for expanding parliamentary relations and economic exchanges.
Referring to Iranian rich culture and civilization and the two countries' historical and civilizational commonalities, he said bright prospects are in sight for mutual cooperation and Tatarstan as an oil-rich country has diverse capacities for bolstering ties.
He also reaffirmed Tatarstan Parliament's support to bilateral ties.
Eghbali Zarch, for his part, said that with the lapse of one year since the implementation Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), bilateral cooperation and economic relations has increased and oil production and export are getting back to pre-sanctions levels.
