Syrian ambassador to Lebanon: Iranian strike decisive, Daesh became weaker

In an interview with Lebanon's al-Ahed News website, he said the results of the Iranian strike are 'crucial and should be read by those who try to deal with terrorism as a game or as an investment scheme, especially under the Syrian Army and its allies' progress in Syria and the Iraqi Army and the Popular Mobilization's victories in Iraq.'

The Syrian ambassador further stressed that the strike proved that the language of futility led by the so-called US 'international coalition' is faced by a clear and decisive language by all those participating in confronting the real terrorism like Iran.

'This organization won't save an effort to respond and carry out additional terrorist attacks in Iran and the region,' Ali added.

To punish the terrorists and their supporters, IRGC launched six ground-to-ground mid-range missiles to the Takfiri terrorists’ headquarters in Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria, from IRGC’s bases in Kermanshah and Kordestan provinces, western Iran.

A large number of the terrorists are reported to be perished and their equipment and arms were destroyed.

'Seeking help from God and on behalf of the Iranian heroic nation as well those affected during the recent terror attacks in Tehran, the IRGC launched a missile strike on Takfiri terrorists’ command center as well as the center for their logistics and manufacturing suicide automobiles in Deir Ez-Zor with the aim of punishing the criminal terrorists,' IRGC said late on Sunday in a statement.

Reacting to the IRGC missile strike against Daesh positions in eastern Syria, spokesman of Iran's Foreign Ministry Bahram Qasemi said on Monday, 'Iran would not tolerate the least destabilizing action endangering its national security, rather it will give them firm, duly and smart responses.”

IRGC spokesman said in a statement on Monday that according to the confirmed information, the anti-Daesh missile operation in Deir ez-Zor has been completely successful.

Second Brigadier General Ramezan Sharif said that the attack annihilated the command centers and arms depot in Deir ez-Zor.
