Supreme Leader: Revolutionary youth are national assets

The Supreme Leader made the remarks in a meeting with a group of Sharif university students and the talented students.

Talented youth help the Islamic system materialize the lofty aspirations, the Supreme Leader said.

A group of talented university students from Sharif University presented their medals they won from different domestic and global Olympiads to the Supreme Leader.

The Supreme Leader expressed pleasure with the services masses of the youth render to various parts of the country.

The speed of the country's scientific growth should not be limited. Rather, it must gain momentum, the Supreme Leader said.

'I accept your medals with honor and give them back to you as they are manifestation of their talents and high determination,' Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The country's scientific growth will lead to regional and global breakthrough, the Supreme Leader said.

Lack of ethics in the western communities and in the US, in particular, has roots in the absence of spirituality and divine aspirations, the Supreme Leader said.

Increase in the number of assassinations and high sales of arms inside the US has turned into a stumbling block but due to domination of weapon producing mafia in the US, the country's administration do not dare to declare arm sales illegal, the Supreme Leader said.

Perseverance of the committed people is vital to achieve significant scientific and economic breakthroughs, the Supreme Leader said.

To attain the goals, all should deal with difficulties and remove barriers, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The officials as well as universities academicians should support the revolutionary and pious youth, underlined the Supreme Leader.

Universities officials should provide the students with suitable guidance and requirements, the Supreme Leader said.

On resistance economy, the Supreme Leader said the world has experienced this type of economy under critical situation and it does not exclusive for Iran.

The resistance economy will bring immunity for Iran to thwart conspiracy of the ill-wishers and global economic ups and downs, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

The reason behind the US scientific and industrial advances in the past 150 years ago was implementation of the Resistance Economy, but, they promoted the idea for materialism for the other nations, the Supreme Leader said.
