
Qassemi made the remarks in his weekly press briefing.
Qassemi expressed deep concern about the Turkish attack on Syria for campaign against terrorism, saying, 'Campaign against terrorism in the region is serious. Unfortunately, during recent years, the violent, child killer and criminal terrorist groups have come together in Syria and infrastructure of the country has been destroyed.'
Qassemi said that the regional governments have the duty to strive for campaign against terrorism without resort to double-standards and they should fight the sinister phenomenon which unfortunately has supporters in the region and the world.
He noted that Turkish government or any other country should not violate the Syrian national sovereignty without permission of the central government.
To a question on detention of Azeri Islamist party leader for his protested against change of the Azeri Constitution, he said that Iran does not interfere with domestic issues of countries and of neighbors.
He said Iran's advice to regional states is that considering the Muslims with IDs they should observe their freedom and not to allow Takfiri violent groups recruit comrades from among the group.
Asked on French president proposal that Paris is ready to mediate between Iran and the Persian Gulf states, he said there is no documented report on the call of French government to mediate between Iran and a special country.
On upcoming visit of Turkish President Recep Teyyip Erdogan to Iran, he said no specific date has been set yet.
