Senior EC official urges Trump to listen to Iranians warning

Addressing a group of demonstrators during a ceremony to mark the 38th victory anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in the city Karaj, about 40 km from the capital of Tehran, Rezaei hailed people's high turnout in the Revolution Day rallies.

He said that the Iranian nation is after the grandeur and glory of the Islamic Revolution.

Referring to recent threats made by the US new president against the Iranian nation, Rezaei said Trupm will get nowhere with making such threats as the Iranian nation will never abandon supporting the Islamic Revolution.

Stressing that arrogant powers have never succeeded with their plans against the Iranians, Rezaei said the people of Iran has stood alongside the Islamic Revolution more firmly than ever.

“We are after the country’s progress and we will stand against threats. We are not seeking war or unrest and we are trying to achieve self-sufficiency inside the country,” he said.

One of the objectives of the US president is to undermine Iran’s military capabilities and sell its arms to Iran, Rezaei said, noting that Americans have had many military productions and now they are seeking to sell them.

Underlining that the enemy is trying to hinder Iran’s progresses in various fields, he said that the country managed to sit for talks with world big powers (during the nuclear negotiations) and this is an achievement given high significance by the Iranian nation.
