Talking to IRNA on the first anniversary of the implementation day of the deal, the former Duma member said that during the past year since the implementation of the nuclear agreement Iran has been pursuing a much more dynamic foreign policy especially in the Middle East and the Islamic world.
During the period, he said, Tehran has contributed more in settlement of regional crises and accomplished much in this regard particularly in Syria.
In economic arena, too, the sanctions and anti-Iran policies practiced by western countries led by the US had adversely affected Iran’s role in the region, he added.
Now only one year after the JCPOA implementation, the world experiences Iran’s powerful presence in the region in settlement of the regional issues the most important of which is its participation in Tehran-Ankara-Moscow meeting.
Sultanov described the JCPOA as an important international document which benefits not just Iran but the the whole Middle East region and beyond.
Commenting on the remarks of the US President-elect Donald Trump who had described the JCPOA as a mistake, the Muslim Russian expert said Trump has neither the power nor the authority to annul or restrict the deal.
Trump could not stop Washington from fulfilling its commitments towards the nuclear deal as a document which is endorsed by the US vote and the United Nation Security Council either, he said.
