Alexander Palishok who heads the Center for Iranian Studies in Moscow State Linguistic University told IRNA on Sunday that unlike the US and its Western and regional allies, Iran is really fighting terrorism.
Noting that Iran has launched a relentless campaign against the scourge, he said it has paid dearly for the purpose.
Most of the terrorists attacking Iran were agents of the US and its regional allies, Saudi Arabia in particular, he said.
The US and its allies created Daesh covertly, the cornerstone of which was made up of Saddam regime’s runaway militarymen, he said.
The only way to lead the region out of the current situation is multilateral cooperation among regional states, especially security and intelligence organizations and monitoring their activities, he said.
