Russia: Tehran-Moscow relations deeply rooted, stable

In her weekly press briefing, she said relations between the two countries date back to some 516 years ago and described it as very consolidated.

Iran and Russia as two prominent countries in the region have established relation since 16th century, she said.

Tehran is regarded as a powerful and sustainable partner in all areas and the 2018 Vision Plan will be continued between the two sides, she said.

She also referred to broad-based economic cooperation between Tehran and Moscow such as transit route connecting north of Europe to Southeast Asia (7,200 kilometers), energy, oil, gas, aviation industries, rail tracks and nuclear energy.

Tehran and Moscow have also increased their level of cooperation on various issues such as Middle East, Middle Asia and fight against terrorism, she said.

There is a very close cooperation between the two sides foreign ministries, defense ministries and parliaments, she said.
