Rouhani: Iran, Ghana determined to broaden relations

President Rouhani made the remarks in a meeting with visiting Ghana's First Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia who is in Tehran at the head of a high-ranking politico-economic delegation attending the swearing-in ceremony on Friday.

There is no doubt that Tehran will take advantage of all its capabilities to increase the level of cooperation between the two countries, Rouhani said.

Iran is ready for closer ties between the two sides' private sectors in various economic, scientific and technological fields to meet both sides' interests, he said.

Easing banking cooperation could help bolster economic relations and cooperation between the two countries, Rouhani said.

Both governments are determined to broaden and bolster relation and cooperation between the two countries, Rouhani said.

Ghana's envoy, for his part, expressed satisfaction over his attendance in the swearing-in ceremony, and underlined that the Islamic Republic of Iran has proved that it is a very good and trustable partner for Ghana.

Ghana's government is determined to broaden all out cooperation with Tehran, he said.

Iran as an ancient civilization is very advanced in terms of science and technology and is self-reliant in the economic sector and that is why Ghana is to bolster and broaden economic cooperation with Tehran, he said.

Expansion of economic relations requires establishment of banking cooperation and Ghana is to initiate banking cooperation with Tehran to attain the goal, he said.

In the meeting, Ghana vice president also invited President Hassan Rouhani to pay an official visit to his country.
