Rouhani: Disgrace only outcome of JCPOA backdown

President Rouhani, who is in New York to attend the UN General Assembly meeting, made the remarks in an interview with CNN.

'We have predictions and plans for any condition,' he said, adding that US President Donald Trump is unpredictable.

The Iranian president went on to say that it is true that Mr. Trump is unpredictable, adding, 'We have plans for any situation.'

President Rouhani went on to say that de-escalation of tension depends on the US conduct.

'Trump behavior blocks the way to negotiation to solve international problems and recourse to the unsuccessful era of Bush the father and the son,' he added.

'We rely on our people's power and are not concerned of any threat. If we wish, we will have only few days to return to the pre-JCPOA nuclear conditions,' the Iranian president concluded.
