Rouhani calls for enhanced economic ties with Kyrgyzstan

“Iran is ready to develop cooperation with the Republic of Kyrgyzstan in different sectors, including road construction, energy, technical-engineering services and medical and pharmaceutical industries,” President Rouhani said on Sunday following receiving the credentials of Avazbek Abdrazakov, new Kyrgyz ambassador to Tehran.

“The two Muslim and friendly nations should use all their potentials to develop and strengthen bilateral ties,” Rouhani said, adding that the private sector both in Iran and Kyrgyzstan could help improve mutual economic ties.

The government of Iran remains to be supportive of enhancing cooperation between Tehran and Bishkek, the President said.

The Kyrgyz new ambassador, for his part, said that his country was looking for bolstering Iran ties.

Abdrazakov said that Kyrgyzstan was looking forward to improving of consular ties as well as opening direct flights between the two nations.

Kyrgyzstan welcomes Iranian companies in the country, he said, expressing hope for the cooperation between the two nations to gain momentum.
