'We are supporting the JCPOA,' Teodor Meleșcanu said in a meeting with Iran ambassador to Romania Hamid Moayer on Friday.
Referring to over one century positive bilateral relations between Iran and Romania, Meleșcanu expressed tendency for preserving ties between Iran and Romania.
Romania will support Iran Deal in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) annual session.
The JCPOA is a specific agreement on Iran nuclear program, he said, adding that other regional issues has nothing to do with Iran deal and will not be solved through it.
Preserving JCPOA is of economic importance for Romania, he reiterated.
Meleșcanu also extended happiness over Iran positive stance toward solving current crises in the Middle East.
Meanwhile, Moayer pointed to the US President Donald Trump’s illegal decision as regard walking away from agreements, saying US withdrawal from Iran Deal is an indication of disrespect to international regulations.
Elsewhere in his remarks Iranian ambassador referred to upcoming UNGA meeting as a suitable opportunity for supporting the JCPOA.
Moayer presented a report of the development of bilateral relations in political and economic fields and stressed promoting ties between Iran and Romania.
Referring to regional issues, he said maintaining sustainable peace in the Middle East will never be possible with Zionist regime's current stance.
