Speaking at his weekly press briefing on Monday, Qasemi also pointed to President Hassan Rouhani's recent trip to two Persian Gulf littoral states, saying the president's meetings in Oman and Kuwait concentrated on bilateral issues and the two sides exchanged views about both global and regional developments.

The spokesman stressed that President Rouhani was warmly welcomed in both Oman and Kuwait, adding that there are many common areas for the regional countries to consult on and Iran has always been seeking better relations with neighboring countries.
