Enayati made the remarks in a fast breaking ceremony (Iftar) attended by several Arabic parliamentarians, members of Iran-Kuwait friendship association, social and official figures and ambassadors of Islamic countries in Kuwait.
He added the late Imam Khomeini's initiative to declare the last Friday of Ramadan as the International Quds Day aimed at turning the liberation of Holy al-Quds from a minor issue into a global concern.
The envoy added reviving the Quds issue would have a pivotal role in realization of convergence and solidarity in the Islamic world.
'Quds Day is considered as a sole way to unite the Muslim world, this is not a hollow slogan, rather a religious commitment, moral and human behavior,' he added.
Every year on the last Friday of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, worldwide rallies are held to commemorate the Palestinian people’s resistance against Israel and their struggles to liberate their territories which have been occupied by Israel for decades.
Millions of pro-Palestinian demonstrators, including Muslims and non-Muslims, take to the streets to denounce Israel’s atrocities against the people of Palestine.
