Qasemi: Minor damages inflicted to Iran's embassy in Kabul

Office work will be resumed in the Iranian embassy within coming hours, he said.

Speaking to IRNA on probable damages to the Iranian embassy in Kabul, he said as you were informed a suicide bomber exploded his car near Iran’s embassy in Kabul on Wednesday in the diplomatic districts in Kabul.

The explosion shattered the windows of the nearby buildings, but the extent of damages to Iran’s embassy was very minor, he said.

Fortunately, none of the embassy staff members were injured and the embassy is to resume normal activities within coming hours, he said.

The Wednesday explosion in Kabul, Afghanistan claimed the lives of 67 people and injured 325 others.

According to the local reports, the explosion, which occurred at 04:00 GMT in the Wazir Akbar Khan region, targeted Afghanistan’s National Security Council.
