IRGC Commander Brigadier General Mohammad Ali Jafari referred to the hawkish US President Donald Trump's recent statement against Iran and the 2015 nuclear deal, saying, through such vulgar acts, Trump’s administration will put the US on the path of “self-annihilation' from the scene of the world more than ever so that the humanity will experience a new world soon.
Signs of failure were evident in Trump's recent speech in a general tribune where he displayed his desperation and frustration, Jafari added.
Despite the fact that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has, so far, confirmed Tehran's faithfulness to the nuclear deal eight times, the US president took a new strategy towards Tehran in a speech on October 13 when he decertified Tehran's commitment to the landmark nuclear agreement and remitted the issue to the Congress to decide about it in 60 days.
Trump's stance against JCPOA has been criticized by many countries, international bodies, political communities and world media.
“Iran nuclear deal is not a bilateral accord and it belongs to no country and no country is able to terminate it,' High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini said minutes after Trump's speech on Friday.
However, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Aki Khamenei said on Wednesday that he is not “to waste my time on answering the rants and whoppers of the US president” but he stressed that “If the other side tears up the JCPOA, we will shred it.”
Trump has found that Iran's geography of influence has been extended to uncontrollable limits, as it will lead to the failure of US materialistic power and to the establishment of a new order by the Islamic Revolution, said the IRGC commander.
