President urges medai to promote camaraderie, fraternity

Speaking in an iftar (fast breaking) ceremony with the media people in Tehran on Thursday evening, the president said,' Media are bound to convey realities, main messages of religion, Islamic revolution and national objectives.'

Referring to the recent presidential election in Iran, President Rouhani said,'In a sensitive situation in the region and while the West had pressurised Iran, regional countries sent threatening messages to Iran, and new orders had been given to the terrorists by their masters, people and media came on the scene and held a glorious election.'

The president advised the media peole to leave behind the bickering of election time and preach the spirit of frienliness and amity among people.
