President Rouhani urges improving Iran-Oman ties

President Rouhani in a meeting with Oman's Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs Yusuf bin Alawi on Sunday emphasized that boosting banking ties is necessary for expanding the trade relations and economic cooperation.

'Iran is determined to boost its relations and cooperation with Oman,' Rouhani said.

Referring to the importance of promoting entrepreneurship, he said that Iran has great investment capacities and abilities in various fields, such as petrochemicals, energy, steel, aluminum, railway and accelerating port developments in Iran.

'These are opportunities in which Omani investors can also cooperate,' he said.

The Omani official, for his part, said that oman is seeking full cooperation with Iran, and will spare no effort for enhancing trade and cultural ties.'

He also called for boosting bilateral ties, particularly in the fields of energy, transit, port cooperation and trade relations.

The Omani official, for his part, hailed Iran's efforts for peace and stability in the region, and said that conflicts in Yemen have had brought nothing to the country, but chaos and disaster.
