
Heading a high-ranking delegation, President Rouhani will leave Tehran for Moscow on March 27, president's deputy chief of staff for communications and information Parviz Esmaeili said.
Esmaeili said President Rouhani is slated to hold talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin and several high-ranking Russian officials on issues of mutual interests, with particular focus on expanding trade, economic and investment ties, including in the context of carrying out major joint energy and transport infrastructure projects, regional and international developments, etc.
He noted a number of bilateral documents are expected to be signed following the two sides talks.
Several Iranian ministers, deputies and advisors would accompany President Rouhani during his visit to Russia.
