President of Italy's Chamber of Deputies congratulates Larijani on re-election

Touching upon the country's old-standing relations, Boldrini said a parliamentary working group with Iran will be formed in the Italian parliament.

She added the two countries enjoyed flourishing and long standing relations based on mutual interests not only in political but also in economic and cultural arenas.

Boldrini also called for further development of parliamentary cooperation within the framework of Inter-parliamentary cooperation and the previous Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) inked between the parliament of the two countries.

Ali Larijani was re-elected as Iran's new parliament speaker on May 31.
