Parliament to help implementing Tehran-Seoul agreements

“Iran-South Korea cooperation in various economic areas is a fresh start of reviving bilateral ties,” Larijani said in a meeting held in Seoul with South Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon.

During the meeting which took place on the sidelines of the second meeting of Eurasian Parliament Speakers in the South Korean capital, Larijani expressed satisfaction over the growing relations between Tehran and Seoul.

He then called for further bilateral cooperation in the banking, economic, energy, environment, railroad and tourism areas.

Referring to lifting of banking and trade obstacles on ways to cooperation between Iran and some European states, Larijani stressed the importance of facilitating banking ties between Tehran and Seoul.

“Iran’s Majlis will use its capacity to help implement the agreements signed between Tehran and Seoul,” Larijani noted.

For his part, the South Korean premier expressed his country’s readiness to deepen ties with Iran and promote bilateral cooperation in different fields.

Nak-yeon further said the two countries can share experiences in the areas at which they are skilled.

Describing Iran’s tourism as the one with rich culture, the South Korean premier said his country welcomes widening bilateral cooperation in tourism area and endeavors to pave the way for economic cooperation between the two countries.

Two days ago, Larijani headed for Seoul, South Korea, to attend the second meeting of Speakers of Eurasian countries.
