Speaking to IRNA on US President Donald Trump recent claims to recognize Israel sovereignty over Golan Heights, al-Batsh said Golan belongs to Syria and it should be liberated like other areas occupied by the Zionist regime of Israel.
Referring to Trump’s remarks as being in line with the Deal of Century, he said claiming that Quds is neither Arab, nor Islamic and Christian but it belongs to Jews is exactly based on the Deal of Century.
He also slammed the decision made by the US and Israel t recognize Golan as a land belonging to Zionists.
Elsewhere in his remarks, al-Batsh pointed to March of Return rallies in Gaza Strip, saying the demonstrations will not stop until the complete break of the siege.
The Palestinian figure stressed the fact that Palestinians are determined to reach freedom, independence and to break the blockade.
Earlier, Syria condemned in the strongest terms irresponsible statements made by the US president on the occupied Syrian Golan, which confirms the United States blind bias to the Zionist occupation entity, stressing that these statements will never change the fact that the Golan was and will always be a Syrian Arab territory.
The US stance towards the occupied Syrian Golan clearly reflects its contempt for international legitimacy and its flagrant violation of international resolutions, especially the UNSC Resolution No. 497 of 1981, which categorically rejects the decision of the Israeli occupation government and its arbitrary measures regarding the Golan and considers it null and void and has no legal effect, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) quoted an official source at Foreign and Expatriates Ministry as saying in a statement.
The great 'March of Return' rallies culminated on May 15 to mark what Palestinians refer to as the Nakba, or Catastrophe, a reference to the forced removal of 750,000 Palestinians from their homes and villages to clear the way for Israel's establishment in 1948.
