The blast also injured 120 people who were there to attend a corner meeting organised by a Balochistan Awami Party (BAP).
Nawabzada Siraj Raisani, younger brother of former Balochistan chief minister Aslam Raisai, a candidate from Balochistan Awami Party (BNP) in the upcoming general election also killed in the blast.
Deputy Commissioner Mastung Qaim Lashari told media that most of the injured have been admitted to Civil Hospital Mastung while those in critical condition were shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta where an emergency has been declared.
Lashari said the initial investigation suggests it was a suicide attack.
Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nasirul Mulk also condemned the attack in separate statements.
