Pakistan stresses fighting terrorists on Iran border

Pakistan will give decisive response to terrorist groups and will not permit them to act against Iran, Imran Khan said in the joint meeting of Iran and Pakistan's high ranking delegations held with the presence of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani.

Iran and Pakistan share lots of commonalities, the Pakistani PM said, noting that Islamabad aims to find a mechanism for promotion of economic bilateral ties with Iran in all fields, in particular, oil and gas.

The Pakistani prime minister referred to the US measure to recognize the occupied Holy Quds as Israel capital, to separate occupied Golan Heights from Syria and to withdraw the Iranian nuclear deal and described the Washington measures against the international rules and regulations.

Imran Khan arrived in Tehran late on Sunday at the head of high-ranking political and economic delegation for official talks with the Iranian senior officials.

Prior to Tehran, Pakistani PM was in the sacred city of Mashhad on pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS), the eighth Shia Imam.

He is currently in Iran on the invitation of President Hassan Rouhani, his first visit to Iran as the county’s prime minister.
