Pakistan government ready to cooperate with holy shrine on pilgrims

He made the remarks in a meeting with Deputy Custodian of the Holy Shrine Morteza Bakhtiari on Tuesday.

Asif said that the aim of his visit to Iran was to declare Islamabad's stances in confrontation and fight against Takfiri terrorist groups.

Bakhtiari, for his part, pointed to cultural and religious commonalties between Iran and Pakistan and said that many of non-Iranian pilgrims of the 8th Imam are from Pakistan, who in spite of threats of the Takfiri groups comes to Mashad to pilgrimage the holy shrine.

He said that the holy shrine office is responsible to present adequate services to pilgrims, and added that in some parts of the holy shrine religious services are offered in Urdu and English languages and a recreational center is under construction in Mir Java border point.

Bakhtiari said that providing security and offering qualified services to Pakistani pilgrims are among important issues which need constructive and effective interaction and relations between officials of Iran and Pakistan.

Asif, heading a delegation arrived in Mashad on Monday and he will depart for Turkey on Tuesday.
