IRNA Chief: Social networks, media partners not rivals

'The present atmosphere serves as a golden opportunity for the media; Using the work division and through effective and scientific use of the social networks, they (the media) should head for bright horizons in the future,' Khoddadi told a large group of media persons here on Tuesday.

He said social networks suffer 'fabricated and unknown' content and poor generation of information and lack of sound and documented information today is among crises facing social networks.

He cautioned the audience against the crisis of forging source of the news in virtual networks and said it should be taken seriously, otherwise it will entail ample consequences, including public mishap.
