Pakistan army rules out presence of Daesh in country

Director General of army media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said Pakistan Army has successfully foiled terror activities in Pakistan through intelligence-based operations.

Earlier in May, the army official had said that 'Daesh terrorist group is following an ideology which focuses on targeting minds of Pakistan's youth'.

Though Pakistan army an government have been denying presence of militant group Daesh in the country, the foot prints of the group can be seen in some terrorist attacks in the country in recent months.

Earlier Pakistan Army spokesperson had said that Pakistan has a zero tolerance for Daesh and even Daesh's shadow will not be allowed in Pakistan.

According to recent reports in Pakistani media, Pakistan’s security establishment fears that unknown number of battle-hardened Syria-returned militants, after fighting for Daesh in Syria, could launch major attacks in Pakistan.
