Pak politician lauds Iran's tit-for-tat move against Trump's immigration ban

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan addressing a large gathering said that other countries should also follow Iran in taking such steps.

'Iran is an independent nation and other nations need to follow Iran against foreign pressures' Khan asserted.

Iranian foreign ministry in a statement has said that Iranian government while respecting the American people and differentiating between them and the hostile policies of the US Government – will take reciprocal measures in order to safeguard the rights of its citizens until the time of the removal of the insulting restrictions of the Government of the United States against Iranian nationals.

Iranian Foreign Ministry has also summoned Swiss ambassador to receive Iran's letter of protest to US president.

US President Donald Trump has listed seven countries in US visa ban for 4 months while White House chief of staff Reince Priebus has hinted that Pakistan might be also included in the list.

The US decision has widely been criticised by human rights bodies, indicating that Trump has targeted Muslims for their beliefs.
