Ali Owsat Hasehmi also stressed the need for decisive dealing with outlaws and terrorists.
It is not acceptable for Iran to consider Pakistan’s security its own and block any possible moves against it on the border but in return, such attacks are being carried out against Iran from Pakistan’s territory, the governor told the consul.
Safeguarding border security should be undertaken by both sides, he added.
'No doubt that the counter-revolution group has found a safe and secure shelter in your country as it gets access to destructive weapons easily and attacks Iran any time it wants,' Hashemi said, addressing the Pak consul.
Lack of a strong will by the neighboring state in arresting the outlaws and terrorists will prepare the ground for border insecurities which are neither consistent with Pakistan's interests nor with good neighborliness and history of the two countries’ relations, he said.
The governor general also called for establishment of a joint rapid reaction group from the two countries’ border guards to undertake necessary measures whenever necessary.
Pakistan consul general, for his part, described the incident as a great catastrophe, saying that he will convey the issue to the relevant officials in Islamabad.
“We have also sustained blows from terrorists and we want to fight terrorism,” he said.
