'Nuclear deal' not Iran-US 'fraternity deal': Deputy FM

Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs Abbas Araqchi said in the IRIB 1 interview program View One on Saturday evening, 'The new law passed in the US Congress to impose sanctions on Iran is clearly an aggressive and inimical action toward the Islamic Republic of Iran, which is sequel to previous US enmities and is nothing new.'

Stating that the law is a new action with a tired subject, he added that as the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khomeini said they are the enemies of the Islamic Republic and the enmity won't ever abate.

With the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), just Iran's nuclear issue with the six countries was supposed to be managed by the international community, and nothing more, he said.

Araqchi added that Tehran's reaction to the newly passed US Congress sanctions on Iran will be accordingly appropriate and decisive.
