No call for meeting Trump on UNGA sidelines: Spox

'No call has been extended on part of the Islamic Republic of Iran for meeting Mr. Trump,' said Qasemi to a question by IRNA on a foreign news agency report quoting the US Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley as saying that Iranian parties had asked for a meeting the US president on the UN General Assemly sidelines.

'Such a report is ridiculous, aiming to wage a psychological war against Iran with a special goal.'

'Such claims or fabricated reports are media-psychological plans and misportrayals of special circles, aiming to divert realities unskillfully. Such methods are fully known to us and our archive is full of such forged reports. I emphasize again that the Islamic Republic of Iran has never asked for a meeting with Mr. Trump.'
