Head of the Guild Association of the Cement Industry Employers Mohammad Atabak told IRNA on Friday that in the corresponding period last year, 23.841 million tons of cement was produced.
He said in the Iranian month of Mordad, (July 23-August 22), more than 5,179,000 tons of cement was produced, while the figure was 5,172,988 tons the same month last year.
He added that in the five-month period, 26,096,428 tons of clinker was produced, showing 2.7 percent increase.
Based on the statistics available, last year, 12.134 million tons of cement and clinker was exported, showing 6.93 percent decrease compared to 13.037 million ton exports in the year before.
