'Such type of meetings can prevent undue interference of trans-regional governments,' Head of Iran-Turkey Parliamentary Friendship Group Ahmad Alireza Beigi told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
He said that the trans-regional states seek to partition Syria.
Presence of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in the trilateral summit in Ankara will boost Syrian government's sovereignty, the MP added.
Prior to leaving Tehran for Ankara to attend the trilateral meeting (Iran, Turkey, Russia) on Syria, President Rouhani said on Tuesday that those foreign troopers who are now stationed in Syria without official permission of the Syrian government should leave the country as their presence is totally illegal.
The visit takes place upon an official invitation extended by Turkish president.
During his stay, President Rouhani will confer with his Turkish and Russian counterparts on separate meetings to discuss expansion of bilateral relations and mutual cooperation along with regional and international developments.
