Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Persian Gulf National Festival in Loft Port, Qeshm, the Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Reza Salehi Amiri said that the southern regions, such as Hormozgan, are not only the economic gates, but they are also the relay station to reflect Iranian friendship, peace, and coexistence.
The government must try its best to flourish the area, said the minister.
He added that the Persian Gulf and the Persian Language are unignorable components of Iranian identity.
Referring to the attempts made against the name “Persian Gulf”, he said that these attempts resulted in more national unity and coherence in Iran.
He added the governmental approach to southern provinces and islands, such as Qeshm, Lark, Hormoz, and Hengam is not military.
