Mashad 2017 opportunity for cultural exchanges among Islamic countries: Pak diplomat

Yavar Abbas said that so far many events have taken place that look unrivalled with the ones in other countries.

Abbas added that the remaining period of Mashad 2017 should be used to near the cultures in different Islamic countries.

Referring to the invaluable relations between Iran and Pakistan, he said that the two countries must use it in the best possible way.

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) chooses three cities each year to be the capital of Islamic Culture, representing the Arab, non-Arab and African regions. In 2017, Mashad was chosen as the Islamic capital of the non-Arab part.

On January 24, the event of Mashad 2017 was held in Mashad with 250 foreign attendees.
