After 40 years, people's participation in the Islamic Revolution anniversary ceremonies was quite impressing, the Leader told a gathering of theology students on Sunday.
People presence in the Islamic Revolution anniversary celebrations this year was unprecedented though the enemy threats had been increased, the Leader noted.
Throughout Iran, millions of people took part in the annual rallies to support their 1979 Islamic Revolution in more than 1,000 other cities and towns and in 4,000 villages.
Hundreds of foreign guests, including journalists, had travelled to Iran to attend and cover the event.
The 10-day period from Imam Khomeini's return from Paris to Tehran on February 1, 1979, until the revolution’s victory on February 11 is celebrated in Iran annually and is dubbed as the `Ten-Day Fajr (Dawn).'
Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Khamenei advised the Iranian officials to avoid any actions leading to disappointment of people and instead try to cheer them.
Predict the enemy scenarios before adopting any decision and always be ready for all their reactions, the Leader added.
