Iran's total trade with Pakistan, Armenia exceeds $ 1.3 billion

Iran's Trade Attaché in Pakistan Mohammad Haji Yousefipour referred on Monday to 41% growth of Iran's exports to Pakistan in 10 months this current Iranian year, saying that Iran's exports to Pakistan in the 10 months of 2017 (led to January) totaled $ 741 million. The figure stood at $ 1.9 billion the same period this year.

Referring to problems in banking ties and direct shipping between Tehran and Islamabad, he said that the thanks to provision of commercial infrastructure, especially banking relations, exports to Pakistan will reach $ 5 billion. Imports from Pakistan during the reported period fell by 31 percent and the volume of Iran's imports from Pakistan dropped from $ 365 million in the 10 months of last year to $ 236 million.

At the end of last year, the total trade between Iran and Armenia reached $ 364 million which is unprecedented since 1991 when the country gained independence from the former Soviet Union.

Also commenting on Iran's Trade with Armenia, Iran's Trade Attaché in Armenia Mohsen Rahimi said that last year Iran's total exports to Armenia totaled $ 269 million, the highest since then in the country's exports from the time of independence.

He added that this volume of trade was realized despite fresh anti-Iran sanctions by the United States which sabotages Iran's foreign trade.
