Leader: Islamic Republic standing strongly against enemies

Addressing a gathering of the families of the martyred border guards and shrine defenders, the Leader said that the martyrs dedicated their lives to the country and all the people and officials should consider themselves indebted to the martyrs and their families.

Ayatollah Khamenei described as absurd the recent antagonistic and threatening statements of the US officials and said that is not something new, as the Islamic establishment has faced various plots but the ill-wishers failed to do a damn thing.

Over the past 38 years, there was no time that the US statesmen stopped thinking about changing the Islamic establishment in Iran but they have always been defeated dramatically and it will be the case hereafter, the Leader stressed.

When the Islamic system was a new sapling, the enemies failed to damage it. They cannot do so now that it has turned into a strong tree, Ayatollah Khamenei said.

Describing the American officials as novice and amateur, Ayatollah Khamenei said that these people have not yet recognized the Iranian nation and officials, and they will when they receive a slap in the face. They have notice that the Islamic Iran is standing firm and with authority.

Elsewhere in his speech, He hailed the status of martyrs, saying that martyrdom is a profound concept and is a lucrative trade with the Almighty.

Appreciating families of martyrs for their patience with the loss of their beloved, the Leader said that major elements maintaining the Islamic Revolution as well as its power were lofty values such as martyrdom, Jihad, patience and resistance of the families of martyrs and the enemy is attempting to take away these values from the society.

“Without martyred defenders of the holy shrine, we had to fight the seditious, evil elements and enemies of the Ahl Ul-Beit, [Household of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)], inside the Iranian cities” because they intended to enter Iran but they were stopped and now they are getting uprooted in Iraq and Syria, said the Leader.
