Leader: Enemies seeking to undermine Iran’s national authority

The Leader made the remarks here on Sunday in a meeting with thousands of people from the province of Qom.

He referred to the recent minor disputes betwen the heads of branches of power in the country and said they are no sources of concern as they will vanish soon.

However, the Supreme Leader reiterated enemies are trying to target those structures and organizations which are considered as the pillars of the country’s powers.

He said everyone should appreciate the existence of an independent and brave judiciary in the country.

What disappoints enemies from achieving their goals is the country’s access to a powerful judiciary and a brave government with good planning.

Elsewhere in his speech, Ayatollah Khamenei also commented on the regional situation, stressing that the UK-affiliated circles are hatching plots against the region and the Islamic Iran one of which is the division plan of the region.

They say the time is over for an “Iraq”, for a “Syria”, for a “Libya” and for a “Yemen”, but they never mention Iran in this regard because they are afraid of the Iranian public opinion.

Thousands of people from the province of Qom met with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei here on Sunday.

The meeting took place on the eve of the birthday anniversary of Hazrat Masoumeh (SA) who is buried in the city of Qom. She is the sister of Imam Reza, the 8th Imam of Shia Muslims.

Today also marks the anniversary of the uprising of the Qom people against the Pahlavi regime in the history-making uprising of the people of this city on January 9, 1978 in opposition to a newspaper article which targeted the founder of the Islamic Republic in Iran the late Imam Khomeini.
