Larijani meets with Armenian defense minister

Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with Armenian Defense Minister, Vigen Sargsyan.

Larijani told the minister, 'Your country had suitable behavior in dealing with Azerbaijan Republic, because causing new crisis in the region would not have any clear future.'

He underlined that all should try not to repeat past events because no country benefits from conflict.

Larijani also welcomed development of cooperation between Iran and Armenia.

Vigen Sargsyan said the two countries have vital needs for expansion of cooperation and the Armenian delegation in the visit had tried to consider grounds for the cooperation.

He said expansion of parliamentary cooperation is so important for Armenia and considering the next parliament election in the next two weeks, the country will try to form new parliamentary friendship group as soon as possible to be able to upgrade the relations.
