Larijani congratulates new Lebanese president on election

In the telephone call, Larijani said no doubt, the wisdom and rationality of the Lebanese parliament and its representatives left vital impact on resolving the problem with election of the Lebanese president.
The election of the new Lebanese president truly reflected the message of unity among resistance forces and the historical election will leave positive impact on Lebanon and the region, Larijani said.
Iranian government and Majlis back Lebanese nation and resistance in fight against the Zionist regime and Takfiri terrorism, Larijani said.
The Lebanese parliament speaker for his part thanked the Iranian Supreme Leader, Majlis speaker, Majlis representatives and government and praised the significant role of the Islamic Republic of Iran in support for the Lebanese people, parliament and government.
The election of the new Lebanese president indicated that in the past or in the present time only the unity among political groups can help Islamic Ummah and Lebanese people to stand against avarice demands of the Zionist regime, he said.
He also expressed the hope that the problem in Lebanon will be resolved through dialogue between various groups and the government.
