Larijani calls for enhancing parliamentary ties with Philippines

The meeting between Larijani and his Philippine counterpart took place on the sidelines of a meeting of Eurasia’s parliament speakers in South Korean capital.

“It is a necessity for Iran and the Philippines to develop their parliamentary and economic relations,” Larijani said.

The Iranian parliament speaker pointed to good relations between Tehran and Manila, and said, “The relations between Iran and the Philippines have always been good and positive.”

The Filipino parliament speaker, for his part, called for broadening of economic and parliamentary relations and invited Larijani to visit Manila.
