Kuwaiti political activists call for fostering ties with Iran

The political activists made the remarks at a ceremony held on Monday evening on the occasion of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.

A group of social and cultural figures from Kuwait as well as Iran’s Ambassador to Kuwait City Ali-Reza Enayati were present in the ceremony.

The members of Iran-Kuwait Friendship Society underlined the necessity of making joint effort to expand bilateral relations in all areas.

Iran and Kuwait have enjoyed long years of political and trade interactions, the Kuwaiti activists stressed, adding the two also enjoy good level of cooperation at present.

The two sides’ members in the society stressed that mutual respect and friendship have prevailed the atmosphere of relations between the two countries.

The society further referred to determination of the two countries’ top officials to develop ties as an important step towards bilateral cooperation.

The Kuwaiti activists described development of cooperation between the Arab littoral states in the Persian Gulf region and Iran as an important factor in ensuring regional stability, peace and security.
