Jahangiri outlines JCPOA achievements for Iran

Jahangiri made the remarks while peaking in a local gathering on the first anniversary of the implementation day of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

He also cited the achievements of the nuclear deal as significant.

Jahangiri reiterated that the implementation day of the JCPOA would remain untouched in the collective memory and history of the country.

He added the deal helped Iran overcome the destructive outcomes of the crippling sanctions and offered new chances for the Iranian banking system.

He said the Iranian side managed to reach an agreement with the sextet at the end of 18 months of tough negotiations.

Thanks to the implementation of the JCPOA, Jahangiri underscored, Iran has managed to increase the export of its oil and gas condensate to the highest level after the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Touching upon the US disloyalties, he added that certain countries in the P5+1 do not favour Iran's progress so are sabotaging the work of Iran's negotiating team.

JCPOA was signed in 2015 between Iran and the world six major states ending more than a decade of dispute about Iran's peaceful nuclear program.
