Islamic resistance facing global enemies: Hezbollah official

The enemies of the Islamic resistance are big powers, some autocratic regimes in the region, Israel and the Takfiri groups, Naim Qassem told in a recent ceremony held in the Southern Lebanon city of Nabatiye.

We are facing today, a direct occupation by the United States in the region aimed at affecting our destiny, Qassem said.

We are confronting the Israeli occupiers who are trying to dominate our countries and the whole region, and we are facing the Takfiris who are committing crimes and corrupting the world, the Shia cleric and politician said.

By plotting all these conspiracies aimed at creating chaos in the region, fanning sedition among Sunnis and Shias or promoting ethnic differences, by all their aggressions, and economic hurdles they just want to target the Islamic resistance, he said.

Today, the resistance maintains a far more significant position in the region, he said.

Hezbollah and its allies are prepared to help reconstruct Lebanon as a powerful nation, the Hezbollah's deputy secretary-general said.

Lebanon's real power comes from a golden equation of its armed forces, people and the resistance, he said.
