Referring to designation of the August 4 as the Islamic Human Rights Day, he said what Islam offers in the field of human rights is rich enough to counter the West claims of supporting human rights.
He rejected as unacceptable efforts to impose western values and ideologies on the Islamic world.
Given the fact that Islamic countries are wealthy in terms theoretical and practical human rights resources, he believed, Islamic countries should not remain silent against inhuman behaviors and claims of western countries regarding human rights issues.
He said western countries are manipulating human rights as an instrument to counter those countries which are against their policies.
The Ayatollah stressed that what is going on in Yemen, Palestine, Bahrain, Syria and Iraq are all outcomes of western version of human rights.
